Andrea,

I do not know how the power control system works for your diffusion pump.
Usually, there is a thermal switch and probably a mechanical
relay in the system. The thermal switch is the most likely suspect if you have
one in your circuit. It the thermal switch is consistently working fine,
then look at the mechanical relay.

Send me an electronic diagram. That would be helpful. Good luck.

Glen Martin

Subject: Help: Problem with Diff pump on SIRA

I have very annoying problem with the diff pump on my VG SIRA II, it
keeps turning off and on by itself with no apparent reason (backing
pressure and cooling water are fine).
Can anybody help please?
Thanks!

Andrea
