Dear Rainer,

Your question sparked one of my own.  I have only used BrF5.  Like others,
I have found it to be a good fluorinating agent for a wide variety of
minerals.  Since I have not used it, I am not qualified to  comment on
ClF3.  It has been suggested that HCl might form when using ClF3 and that
HCl might attack SS parts of fluorination lines such as valves.  This might
be dangerous if it caused the bellows to fail.  I am curious if  anyone has
had any problems with this.
