As Ian points out, and rightly so, snapping the ceramic tube in the
final stages of installation is an experience trying even for a saint. I
am hopping mad when that happens.

Anyhow, I've just checked my last batch of tubes and the overall
dimensions are: length 12 3/4" (= 32 cm), OD 1/16" (= 1.56 mm),
ID closer to 0.6 than 0.7 mm.
