Dear Tylor,
probably my request was not well requested. Of course, I will switch one day
from Isodat 7.4 to Isodat XY for measurements. However, the problem actually
is that there are still thousands of samples in the pipeline which are
waiting for months to be measured. So, I do not want to loose time with
trial and erros new software if the old one is doing its job.
I do appreciate hard suggestions on my specific problem to use isodat 7.4
data in Isodat NT 2.0 which works well for the *.??c files, however, proper
sample identification is not possible with only importing files. If you do
have working ISL files for that purpose, could you please emails me these.

With all the problems you mention with Isodat 7.4, I am surprised that you
have not switched over to ISODAT NT. The problems discussed on ISOGEOCHEM
during the past couple of weeks are either hardware problems, which affect
Isodat as well as ISODAT NT, or they involve the Delta XP or 253 with the
fibrewire acquisition and control. They are not software problems on the
Delta Plus.
We have used ISODAT NT 1.5 and are now using 2.0 on a Delta Plus with good
success. The data exporting is much better that that of Isodat 7.4. If
you don't mind some initial pain and agony that comes with going to a new
system, you might consider an upgrade. To go from 1.5 to 2.0 took us about
4 workdays because we needed scripts written by Bremen for our
GasBench--the scripts are written in ISL (Isodat script language), which
looks somewhat like Visual Basic. You no longer can use the friendly
script icons in ISODAT NT 1.5 to create scripts in 2.0.

Dear Deltaplus users,
from die yesterday emails I am happy not to have switched my IRMS
measurments from the Isodat 7.4 software to the NT version. However, for
chromatogram reevaluation, I tried in the meantime. Although I successfully
can import *.XYc files into Isodat NT and reevaluate the problem is that
there is no other sample identity info in this file other than the time
code. Running thousands !!! of GCC measurements with about 30 peaks each
measurement during the last months, I would like to know whether there is a
possiblility to import the Isodat 7.4 isofile into the new version.
By the way, printing the directory in Isodat 7.4 failed due to the fact
that
the printer can only do 80 columns, and the printout is just cutoff beyond
this limit, so that sample identification can not be verified by this
method.
Also, data export into an wks file failed for several reasons:
1. there are numerous corrupt files where sample exportation quits
2. Excel can do "only" 2048 rows which means that I would need hundreds of
them to export all my data
3. Limiting peak exportation on e.g. 5 was not possible (empty wks file),
thus I had to export ALL peaks
Any help to solve my problem is highly appreciated.
