Sorry, Scott, but it *IS* delta. "del" (you can look it up)
is a symbol that was invented for use in partial derivatives.
The greek letter which you have been using all these years to represent
isotopic compositions is called "delta". Physicists call it
delta; chemists call it delta; Greeks call it delta. Why should
you (or anyone) call it by any other name?
