With regard to GC-IRMS standards, Chuck Kennicutt here at TAMU (409
690-0095; fax 690-1252) sent me a notice concerning reference standards he
is marketing through the company CHIRON AS. I have no experience with
them, but it says on the flyer that these standards were jointly developed
by Chevron Petroleum Technology Company, Finnigan-MAT, and CHIRON. For
further information, contact:

>I've been following the discussion on standards with interest, GCIRMS presents
>its own unique set of problems in calibrating standards. We use internally
>calibrated high purity compounds that we use both as internal standards in real
>samples and as a measure of the external precision (by Simon's definition).
>There are still, to my knowledge, no international standards for this method
>though we, and I imagine many other labs, have run inter-lab experiments.
