University Lectureship in Environmental Earth Sciences
Applications are invited for the above post, tenable from 1st January 1998.
Stipend, according to age, on the scale £16,045 to £33,202 per annum. The
Department of Earth Sciences plans to develop research into the more basic
physical, chemical and biological aspects of the Environmental Earth
Science and welcomes applications from individuals with relevant research
experience. In particular, applicants with interests in marine chemistry,
oceanography and palaeoceanography are sought. The successful candidate
will be expected to become involved with undergraduate teaching and the
supervision of graduate students and to pursue a vigorous line of research.
The successful candidate may be offered a Fellowship at Linacre College.
Applications (6 copies), including a curriculum vitae, list of publications
and names and addresses of three referees (not more than two from the same
institution), should be sent to the Secretary to Head of Department (Miss
