Dear Andrea,
For our VG Optima IRMS, we use a Challenger isolation transformer, and a
Flexiduct surge protection device.
Challenger (Jackson, Missippippi)
Flexiduct (Lincoln, Nebraska)
Surge protection devices take so many hits and die, especially the varistors.
Therefore, it's good to replace them as part of scheduled maintainance.
If you need more information, please e-mail me, or phone (402-472-8210).
Good luck.
