Dear Mass Spectromotrists!
Would anyone be able to analyse 18 (20 ug Sulfur) aerosol samples
for 34S please on a contract analysis basis? We have a tight funding
deadline to meet and need analyses by mid June which we are unable to
perform in house at the moment. If you are able to help, or know of
anyone else who may be able to I would be very grateful if you could
contact Jill Cainey direct on [log in to unmask] Her message to me
appears below. Thank you for your time and thanks in advance for your
help.
Sarah.

Subject: Aerosol Samples for S-isotopes
Reply-to: [log in to unmask]
Priority: normal
Sarah,
I have collected 9 duplicate aerosol samples at Baring Head in clean
marine air, originating over the Southern Ocean. Each sample
consists of two filters one collecting super-micron aerosol and the
other sub-micron aeorsol (to allow separation of sea-salt sulfate and
nss-sulfate). Sampling periods have been designed to ensure that
each filter carries a minimum of 20 ug of Sulfur (in the form of
sulfate), which is a conservative amount given the proposed Delta-C
technique for S-isotopes has a detection limit of 7 ug of Sulfur.
These samples now need to be urgently analysed for S-isotope ratios
by the middle of June 1998.
Jill
