We have used many SIS filaments on my two 251's. They aren't bad, but don't
last as long as the Finnigan filaments so its a trade-off of your time vs
supplies cost. If you replace the gold gasket the way they say to, then its
a bad deal, but I don't do that. Still, we generally use the Finnigan
filaments.

I am in the process of replacing a filament on my delta-S, the question
is do people have filaments repaired or buy new ones. If repaired by
whom? I have contacted Scientific Instrument Services in Ringoes, New
Jersey and they can repair the filament for $30. Are there opinions out
there about repair or experience with this company.
Thanks
Pat
