Do any of the Finnigan users out there have experience with frequent error
messages when running the HDO device (or at any other time)?

We suspect the problem is "simply" one of timing -- computer to instrument
communication -- but it may be something else. In either case, it is not
obvious how to solve it.

The errors are usually as follows:
-----------------
System Error: Non Fatal

Modul 7 Error 502

IBSRBUF: data in time out

src 11632 OPC 20 SUB 18
DST 7 SYN 3
--------------

Since it is a non-fatal error, the program will continue when you press
escape, but of course if this happens when you're not their, lots of time
(and possibly valuable samples) is wasted.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!
