SIMSUG 2001
First Announcement
The annual workshop of the UK Stable Isotope Mass Spectrometry User's
Group (SIMSUG) will be held in Glasgow on 16th & 17th January 2001
SIMSUG 2001 will be hosted by the Scottish Universities Environmental
Research Centre (SUERC) in association with Glasgow and Edinburgh

SIMSUG provides an informal forum where applications and developments in
the use of stable isotopes from all research disciplines can be presented
and discussed
- The venue is the Glasgow Thistle Hotel, Cambridge Street, Glasgow
G2 3HN
- The dates are Tuesday 16th and Wednesday, 17th, January 2001
- The cost will be approximately £165 per person or £125, if sharing a
twin room
- Dr Tom Brenna from Cornell University is to be our guest speaker
- Registered students will be eligible for prizes for oral and poster
presentations
- Student members of BMSS may be eligible for a travel award
- A tour of the SUERC laboratories is planned
- Registration deadline will be November 1st 2000; details in next
circular
- Abstract deadline will be December 8th 2000
- The Scientific Programme will be available from December 15th 2000
