Hello everyone,

Our Hewlett Packard 5890 GC has developed an odd problem over time, which
we have only just identified.  The flows measured on the front panel from
the Split Vent and the Purge Vent are negligible in all combinations of
the front panel Total Flow and Split Flow controls, and with Purge ON or
OFF.  The flow should be around 30ml/min, but appears to be closer to 1 or
2.  Much, much too low.

We've changed the septum, and leak checked the line from the cylinder to
the regulators and beyond.  Everything looks fine.

I suppose the obvious culprit(s) could be the front panel regulators, but
if anyone else has seen this or a similar problem I'd like to hear from
them.
