Dear colleagues:
I am involved with some colleagues in a project that aims to obtain
atmospheric pCO2 estimates from d13C analyses of Eocene fossilized wood.
The samples will be collected from an island in the Arctic and I would like
to be well prepared ahead of time. Does anybody have recommendations on
sampling, sample handling and preparation, and analysis? We will be using a
Carlo Erba CN analyzer interfaced with our VG Sira II for the carbon
isotope analyses.
I would also appreciate suggestions for references on similar work on
fossilized wood.
I thank you in advance for your help.
Regards,
Cinzia Spencer-Cervato
