Dear Mahendra,
Inasmuch as I was the first responder in this problem, let me
emphasize that I have seen no effect of long-term storage of
H2 gas together with oxydised zinc shot in the pyrex ampoule
sealled by the stopcock on the amount of hydrogen and its D/H.
On the other hand Ms. Anita Weber emphasized that selled in
evacuated ampoule Zn shot plus frozen H2O sample should be
heated rather immediately in oder to produce H2 gas quantitatively,
ie. without isotope factionation.
