Snow often plots above the ML.
See for example Fig. 6 in Hydrogeology Journal v. 6, p 101.

Subject: water samples

Hello all,

There is a student in our department who is measuring the stable-isotopic
composition of ground water and precipitation. She is finding that some of
her data plot above the meteoric water line. Has anyone had similar
experiences and could you send her a list of possible references? Her name
is Jennifer Schellpepper and her address is

She is also interested in joining the listserve, but I can't seem to find
the instructions for her. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Sincerely,

Lora Stevens
