Family PC magazine recently published the results of a survey to identify
the "Top 100 Wired Schools in the Country". In doing so they have
accumulated evidence that showed up in all of the schools that were
sucessful in using educational technology well. They have called this
evidence the "Secrets to a Tech Savvy School".
Not surprinsingly, those "secrets" are:
1. Develop a clear technololgy plan
2. Involve all stakeholders
3. Invest in equipment
4. Connect to the Web
5. Train the educators
6. Provide adequate support.
Its very important that we make our teachers, administrators, and broader
community members
aware of this kind of information.
