I talked to Yvonne at Global Schoolhouse yesterday. Currently she cannot
divulge many details but did say that they are talking with a National
Satellite provider who wants to donate services to rural schools. She
could not elaborate on how many installations or locations at this point.
I believe that after our conversation she is convinced that there are many
schools in Vermont who would meet the qualifications that were put forth.
She is/was gathering information about who and where applicants might be
and will be getting back to me/us as soon as she has anyting definite.
Thanks to Kathy Johnson and Bill Romond for bringing this to the list. It
might even result in some decent connectivity for some now struggling
schools.
Neil
