It sounds like other people have had positive experience with DAK.
My last experience was in the early 90's, and I was obviously
unimpressed.  I would like to point out, as a former computer
service guy, that most of the money you make is in service.
Therefore, whoever has the better service agreement gets my vote,
i.e. a 3 year labor would win out over a 1 year labor warranty.  At
anywhere from $50/hour to $75/hour labor, it doesn't take a lot of
time on a dog computer (and everyone makes them!) to totally
erase the savings you get up front, not to mention the frustration of
having to send parts back and forth.  My recommendation would be
to see what it costs for an extended 3-year labor warranty.  If it
turns out to be $200-300 more, then I would say that you DAK isn't
such a good deal.  By the way, I still must defer to those who have
actually used Dak's in the last few years as to their quality.  My
hope is that I don't have to work on the computer for the life of the
warranty.  Reliability is the issue, and if someone has a 3 year
warranty which I actually have to use in the first year, I would
consider that computer to be less reliable than a computer with a
one year warranty that I never have to use.  Regardless of what
name is on the outside of the box, you have to pay more money for
a good power supply, a good motherboard, and a good
microprocessor.
