Teachers-to-Teachers Institute is growing fast, fulfilling a real need for
professional development for classroom teachers. I am now also beginning
to develop a training program for classroom paraprofessionals, with
undergraduate credit, which will be available in the fall or early spring.

This summer, T-to-T will be offering graduate courses in Randolph and
Norwich. Please see the schedule below.

Tuition remains at an economical $650, which includes a $50 non-refundable
deposit. If you have any questions, please call 802-763-7067. To print out
a full course description or to print out a registration form, please
visit the website:

If you would like full course descriptions sent to you by email, simply
email me at <[log in to unmask]>, indicating which descriptions you would
like.

I would be glad to hear from you if you have suggestions or
recommendations. Please pass on this information to other teachers.

The Internet has provided classrooms with new ways to communicate and
access information. The next step is for teachers to use the publishing

curriculum and learning goals.

Educators have gained access to new technology and tools, but often
haven't had the opportunity and support to learn how to integrate them
into their curriculum. In this course you'll create your own curriculum
materials, explore the use of multimedia, and develop units of study that
reflect best practices and align with the Vermont Framework. You will
learn to use a variety of new technologies, including a digital camera, a
scanner, presentation software, and digital video.

Introduction to Networked Computers in the Classroom
Thursday, July 18 to Wednesday, July 24
8 am - 5 pm (5 days)
Randolph Union High School, Randolph, Vermont
Instructor: Tom Karlen

As classroom computers are being connected to local area networks and the
Internet, teachers need to reevaluate how they and their students will use
computers. No longer simply a word processor and calculator, the
"networked" computer is also a communications device and a link to vast
resources.
This course, designed for K-12 educators, will give you the skills and
understanding to communicate and locate information using computer
networks.
