Subject: bowhead whale slide show

Hello!

Michael Wald (my partner) is giving a slide show about bowhead whales next
Thursday, Feb 19 from 7-9 in the media room on the first floor of the library
(same place our slide shows were held).

It will be about his 3 seasons spent on the northern coast of Alaska (Beaufort
Sea) working on a bowhead whale census. It is also about traditional whale
hunting, Eskimo culture, the politics of hunting an endangered species, how
whales are actually censused (no questionairres), outhouses made out of ice,
and chopping trail on the sea ice. and there might be some polar bear stories
if you ask!

We'd love to see you there and all your friends and family...pass it on!

Sally
