Steve- Jennifer called the other day and upon querying her ID (jfullert)
in WebCT, the ID was there, but was occupied by another Jennifer Fullerton.
I did a webph query on zoo for Fullerton and saw that there were indeed 2
Jennifer Fullertons at UVM, one of which was a Social Work student (not
the Jennifer in question). You may recall that the courses that were
occupying jfullert were Social Work courses. I asked the Jennifer on the
phone if she had ever taken a social work course and she replied "no". I
decided to further my investigation into her identity and asked her her
middle name. She replied with "Danielle". Hence, I knew that she was not
the Jennifer Fullerton that was occupying her ID in WebCT (unless, of
course, she doesn't actually "own" her middle name, and consequently can't
lay claim to it, and consequently can't use any portion of her name as a
real identifier, but that kind of nonsense doesn't concern me).
Either way, the point is that her ID was being occupied by someone else in
the database. We reset the courses you asked us to reset and in a slight
mis-communication in the Lab, she was omitted from the WebCT orientation,
rather than added to it.
She has been added to the orientation.
She can't access her Anth21 course because it hasn't started yet (which
she should've picked up from the paperwork she'd received).
Don't ever flame me on a public list again.
Perhaps all WebCT help calls should go to you, as you are the be all & end
all of WebCT knowledge in the universe, and the CIT helpline won't take
them (they're apparently more incompetent with WebCT than we are!).
And it's DMDL, not DMDM.
