to define terms:
Classic apps can be run native (e.g. under OS 9.2) --> they are pre-Carbon etc. and will not run
normally under Mac OS X.
or
Classic apps can be run in the "Classic" environment UNDER OS X which often changes their
performance.
-so it depends where/how the word "classic" is being used.
