Call for Project Presentations
EWB-USA 2008 Annual International Conference
Engineers Without Borders-USA invites presentations of chapter
projects at the Annual International Conference to be held in Seattle,
Washington March 27-30, 2008. Hosted by the University of Washington,
this year’s conference theme is Sustainable Engineering and
Global Health. We seek a broad range of presentations from all EWB-USA
chapters that reflects geographic and project diversity while
emphasizing best practices and lessons learned. This is a great
opportunity to share the results of your project with conference
guests and fellow EWB-USA members from across the Nation. Topics may
include but are not limited to:
Water supply/treatment Construction management/safety
Alternative Energy: solar, wind, hydro Community education and
cultural sensitivity Micro-enterprises Indoor air quality
Community health assessment Appropriate technologies
Please submit a 200-word abstract of your project (PDF format) to
[log in to unmask] by November 21, 2007. Abstract headings
should include the presentation title, author names and affiliations,
e-mail address and telephone # of the principal author and should
indicate the
geographic region of the project (e.g. Africa, Central America,
Mexico, Asia / Pacific, US Domestic, Rest of the World). Headings
should also indicate a preference for an oral or poster presentation.
Cash awards will be made for the best presentations in both the oral
and poster categories.
