Dear Pier

Uviol and Rasotherm are glass types produced in the 1970/80 in the former
German Democratic Republic. I think they are not available any more. They
have been used to prepare electrodeless discharge tubes for N-15 measurement
with emission spectrometers (NOI5 and NOI6) because of there relatively high
transmission of near UV light (300nm). More information might be available
from the successor of this GDR institute and producer of the NOI7 emission
spectrometer (http:// www.fan-gmbh.de).
