Dear All,
As a hydrologist I have been involved in the environmental studies for 6
years.
Since April 1995 I have been working as a Research Assistant in Environmental
Radioactivity Research Centre of the University of Liverpool under the
supervision of Dr. P.G. Appleby. My main experience for this period has
been radiometric dating (Pb-210, Cs-137 and Am-241) of recent lake,
estuarine and salt marsh sediments as well as dating of peat accumulation
in bogs. I am responsible for gamma spectrometry analysis of sediment
samples using ORTEC HPGe well and coaxial detectors and calculation of
sediment chronology and accumulation rates by Pb-210 CRS and CIC models.
My current contract with the University of Liverpool is arranged for the
short period under Academic Visitors' Scheme and expires on 19 August
1996. So I am
looking for an opportunity to continue this kind of work. Though I would be
interested in any other offers of employment, as I have programming experience
in Pascal, Fortran, Visual Basic for Applications and FoxPro.
I can provide my CV and references on request.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Yours sincerely,
Vladimir Kirnitshnyi
