LAST CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
Deadline January 13, 2006

EGU General Assembly
Vienna, Austria, 2-7 April 2006
http://meetings.copernicus.org/egu2006/
(go to ³Programme² and then ³Call for papers²)

GMPV14 Stable Isotopes in Geosciences
[Division of Geochemistry, Mineralogy, Petrology and Volcanology;
co-listed in Atmospheric Sciences]

Aim is to have presentations on Geoscience subjects where stable isotopes
are the main subject. This may include interpretations with stable isotopes
as major tool, but
also developments in analytical techniques or methods where stable isotopes
are tracer to obtain info on processes. Range of stable isotopes is not
limited, except where radiogenic processes will be the main effect of the
studied subject.

Main/Open session
Co-conveners:
Torsten Vennemann [University of Lausanne, Lausanne, Switzerland]
Attila Demeny [Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Budapest, Hungary]
Gerhard Strauch [UFZ-Umweltforschungszentrum Leipzig-Halle GmbH, Halle,
Germany]

Within the main/open session there will be blocks devoted to special
subjects.
These blocks are:
- Mass Independent Isotopic Fractionations [SB1]
Co-convener:
Mark Thiemens [University of California, San Diego, La Jolla, CA, USA]
- Less Common Stable Isotopes in Geosciences (aims at alkali and transition
metal isotopes) [SB2]
Co-convener:
Olivier Rouxel [Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, Woods Hole, MA, USA]
- Stable Isotopes in Forensic Geosciences [SB3]
- Stable Isotopes Measured by Other Means Than Mass Spectrometry (aims at
optical methods; NMR-methods or any other non-MS method are welcome too)
[SB4]
Co-convener:
Erik Kerstel [University of Groningen, Groningen, the Netherlands]

Best wishes for the New Year to all.
Regards,
Pier.
