Here is another alternative that hasn't yet been mentioned: the Valco
Instrument Co. (1-800-FOR-VICI) sells 1/2-inch ferrules made out of Kel-F,
though they don't seem to make ss fittings of the same size. The Valco
ferrules are approximately the same size and shape as Swagelock, but I will
admit to never having tried a Valco ferrule in a Swagelock fitting.
