Dear Colleagues,

Regarding the enquiries for conical or round-shaped vials for carbonate
analysis of a few days ago, please find below the answer given by Labco
about the possibility of having some round-bottomed vials custom made. The
size indicated is the one that will fit into the heated block of our GVI
Multiflow, but I presume that if demand is adequate, they might be able to
manufacture other sizes.

Best regards,

Clemente

>Apologies for the delay replying. We have been checking the most economic

>Dear Sirs,

>At the Stable Isotope Laboratory of Salamanca University we use, among
>other equipment, a "Multiflow" device manufactured by GV Instruments
>(http://www.gvinstruments.co.uk/). This device uses a Gilson 222XL
>autosampler, with a heated block that hold vials up to 13 mm O.D. and up to
>60 mm high, so GVI originally recommended your "vial 7" screw-cap vial,
>with pierceable rubber septum, that we currently use for Water-CO2
>equilibration successfully.

>choice, but then its O.D. is too large to fit in the heated block.
