Hi Alex--

An alternative to the Merchantek micromill by New Wave is one developed
by Scott Carpenter which can be customized to handle larger traveling
distances. Mine was installed last September, and I'm very happy with
it. Here's a link showing my setup:

http://www.unc.edu/~donna64/Lab-Facilities/PPL.htm

You can also find a link from there to get Scott's contact information
and more details about the system.

Cheers,

--Donna
