We do our reductions offline, so don’t worry about the abundance being 0.
It looks like its calling the CO2 peak, but have you gone into the EA method and looked under the TCD control parameter tab? It’s here you can lengthen or shorten the peak start and end times for the TCD to look for ‘gases’. From memory, the range has to be correct or the dilution won’t trigger.
Also, I see a broad peak (it even picks it up) in the beginning? Is that a leak? You should see a sharp ‘peak’ just before the N, and just before the CO2 that is associated with V2 switching on and off respectively.
Incidentally, What is your autosampler (MAS PLUS?), and do you use the He management system as I have assumed? V1 should be on to start with flows around 180, then just before the CO2 peak V1 goes off and flows switch to 50 ml/min. The timing and flow is controlled in the dynexternals box in the Flash IRMS.
Finally, I’d seperate you N peaks, and lengthen your run a bit. I like 3 reference peaks too, but that’s up to you!
