It is with great pleasure that we announce the third "Informal European
Stable Isotope Meeting" to be held at CRPG in Nancy on Sept. 30 and Oct 1.   We
are moving the venue from Lausanne to Nancy and hope that everyone can
attend.  It is hoped that this will be an opportunity for everyone in the
stable isotope community to share their ideas, problems and simply to get to
know each other better.   Everyone is invited to come and give a talk or
just join in informal discussions and dinner get-togethers.  There will be
several invited speakers, including Steve Macko (U. Virginia), Marylin Fogel
(Geophys. Laboratory) and Brian Popp (U. Hawaii).
        There is no abstract deadline, no registration and no constraints
on who is
invited.  If you choose to include an abstract in advance, we will include
them in an "informal" abstract volume.  If this meeting is anything like the
previous two, we expect to have a good time and a great exchange of ideas.
