Dear Listmembers,
At the recent CF-IRMS workshop in Victoria, BC, there was some discussion
regarding the advantages of using alumina sleeves in the combustion tube
when burning materials collected on glass-fibre filters. I was wondering
if anyone has advice/criticism regarding the use of quartz-fibre filters.
Presumably, unlike GFF's, quartz-fibre filters would not melt in the
combustion tube, and thus would not create the mess that the alumina
sleeves are intended to clean up.
Any comments?
cheers,
rickd
