Dear all, I am sorry to use this forum for this, but I do think this is
urgent. James Cook University (Australia) fired Prof. Peter Ridd due to his
non-mainstream opinion on coral reef issues. Regardless of your position
relative to this issue, understand that what is at play here is academic
freedom. If an academic is at risk of being fired due to a mere scientific
disagreement, dark times come ahead for scientific progress. If you want to
