I meant to get this out after Larry's question on 64 bit VPN, but this
languished in my drafts folder longer than it should have. It's probably
stale now, but the lesson is still valid, I hope.
This is an excellent example of something discussed on it-discuss that
had several emails. Now I'm wondering if there's
someway to make a sort of word cloud app for the archives. I bet 64-bit
vpn would have been found in Larry's example. But then again, poor use
of subject lines probably don't lend to good word-cloud content, but
then again, I've never implemented such a thing, so I don't really know
how difficult/easy such a solution might be, or if it even would work
with the way the listserv is setup. But having a word cloud might be
one way in which the hottest topics linger around a bit, making it
easier for others to find the crucial email with the details.
