Want to listen to news from Japan in Japanese ?

Point your browser to

        http://www.yomiuri.co.jp/stream/index.htm

The Yomiuri Shinbun produces two daily news broadcasts on
the net - one in Japanese and one in English. (They also
produce a Japanese newspaper - but for that, you will need
Japanese Language font support. *)

-----------------------------------------------------------

Well, it's not quite that simple. To get the sounds out of
your lound speaker, you will have to download and install
a special "realaudio" sound player.

        http://www.realaudio.com/

[] Windows 95 and Windows 98 users should try the G2 "beta"
software. This will allow you to "watch" the news cast
and still use your browser to do other things ... Down
load the "free version" (the $29.95 version is worth it
but not necessary unless you use the web as a radio ...)

[] Macintosh and Windows 3.1 users want to use the "production"
   Release 5.

In both cases, you can customize the "realplayer" that you down
load to build a "channel" for Yomiuri ...

The "Yomiuri News Stream" is the Japanese Language news stream.

The "Yomiuri Daily News" is the English Lanugage news service.
