Hello fellow JOBS folks....
Hope all is well and would like to take a minute to let everyone know
how our Outreach pilot program is going for non-Medicaid, correctional
youths.
On December 7th my JOBS team had the opportunity to meet with the
casework supervisor and all the caseworkers that are currently at the
Marble Valley Correctional Facility in Rutland, Vermont. I am pleased to
say that their enthusiasm was very overwhelming in regards to the
services that we were offering. They expressed the need for supports
before young offenders are released back into the community and how
these supports can sometimes 'make or break their success' rate.
I am very excited about how this new program piece will be affecting us
and the outcomes, positive ones that is, will impact my local community.
I will try to keep everyone informed at the progress that we are making.
Rest assures, I Iet everyone know that there are many more of JOBS
programs throughout the state and they would be a fool not utilize the
services if they feel they have an appropriate candidate....
Hope to see all of you in the next year.....
