Hey guys,

I hope you've had a great week! Tomorrow we'll have our meeting
outside in the same place we were last week (near Harris Mills and
UHeights) at 6pm, but in case it rains, we'll meet in the racquetball
courts in the gym at the same time.

Last time, we discussed possible activities to partake in this year,
so I searched around online and found a few great
volunteer/performance opportunities if you are interested:

The Champlain Senior Center is looking for lunchtime performances.
Follow the link to see if you are interested in this. I think this
could be a great opportunity for us to put together a 1/2 hour show.
Here's the link:

This next one is in January, but if enough people want to do this we
can contact them early. Here's the link:

Jeffrey Bond, our club advisor, sent me a list of juggling coaches,
performers, and events. Look through the list at the end of the email,
and at tomorrow's meeting, we can vote on who we want to see or what
we want to attend. Thanks Jeffrey!

John, can you bring the juggle club roster sheet to the meeting tomorrow?

Ok, that about covers everything. Sorry this was so long! Hope to see
you all tomorrow!

PS: Here's the list:

Tony Duncan and Jen Slaw, http://www.jentony.com/, are IJA award-winning
jugglers based in Brattleboro. Their promo video is at
http://www.jentony.com/videos.html. Tony is a great coach and a nice
guy. Jen mixes juggling with dance and club swinging. Nimble Arts,
where they coach, hosts weekend workshops and provides overnight
accomodations at about $20 / person, but I don't know if Jen and Tony
coach on the weekend.

Brent McCoy, http://www.brentmccoy.com/, relocated to NYC but I have
seen him twice recently on Church St., I think he still has ties to the
area.

David Graham and Tobin Renwick, http://www.acrojuggling.com/, have been
on Church St. a lot recently and also have ties to the area. They mix
juggling with acrobatics, and hand balancing. I don't know about their
coaching, but they are both really nice guys.

Sam Johnson, http://bigaerialshow.com/, indicated interest in coaching
the club. Although he is known for wire and hand balancing, he is a
really good juggler. Anyone interested in street performing shouldn't
miss the opportunity to talk with Sam, he has an amazing amount of
experience with, and insight about, developing acts for the street.
Sam just opened a new show in Illinois but his family lives here.

Troy Wunderle, http://bigtopadventures.com/, although a clown by
profession, has been a juggling coach for years and specializes in
bounce juggling. Troy is great and has a remarkable ability to put
together a show quickly.

We can also contact Circus Smirkus, http://smirkus.org, they are always
helpful.

It sounds like you found a lot of juggling info on the web. My son
recommends http://www.jugglingdb.com/. Also, I poked around for
regional conventions:

Cornell's Big Red JuggleFest is in November,
http://www.rso.cornell.edu/cjc/.

Rochester Institute of Technology has a Spring Juggle Fest,
http://www.rit.edu/~jugwww/.

Juggle This is an annual NYC festival, http://www.jugglenyc.com/.

Peace.
