Dear Colleagues,

Do any of you "mediate" the "free desk copy" transaction between publishers and faculty members? I've been the go-between for a little over 2 years and it's getting a little overwhelming. I want to break this habit of faculty just sending me a list and saying "I need these desk copies" and expecting that it'll happen (I'm a solo, by the way). Do any of you handle things such as this, or have experiences with this? If so, how did you deal with it? I want to send out an formal email that the library (myself) no longer provides this type of service but I'd like your collective insight.

Thank you.

~Anna
