Good afternoon,
If any ophthalmology librarians could help me out with this, I'd
greatly appreciate it!
One of our physicians has asked me to find information about "myopic
degeneration of the retina"--a general overview and recent articles
about treatment. He is looking for this info for himself.
I searched PubMed using MeSH terms myopia AND retinal diseases, and
with textwords myopic maculopathy. Things rapidly got complicated, and
I don't know enough ophthalmology to know what's relevant and what's
not. I found one article that Dr. S. would like to see: "Long-term
pattern of progression of myopic maculopathy: a natural history
study." PMID: 20207005. Other than that, I'm having a lot of
difficulty. I found many articles mentioning holes in the retina, but
he says these are not relevant.
Thanks very much for any help you can offer.
