In her commendation of her Library Committee, Beth Treaster concluded :

Sounds great - almost too good to be true.... What struck me as unusual is
that the Hospital Administration lends itself to such suble and not so
subtle pressure from Committee members. My personal experience is that
one has to be warry of anything that sounds as complaints and being
percieved as "not a team player". So it all dpeends on knowing one's
limitations, and the "corporate culture" or where the "toes" are (avoid
at all costs...).

Enjoy the compliments, you most probably deserve them and more, and don't
take budget cuts or "no" as a personal adffront - the Library, after
all, is not "yours", you just work there.
