...has just been removed from OVID's fulltext Nursing Collection. It was
nice to have access to the content of such an obscenely expensive journal,
but does anyone else think it's worth almost $2000/yr for an online-only
institutional subscription? I confess, each issue would amuse me because I
could be sure that there would be at least one occurrence of what I call
"Those Words" somewhere in the table of contents: words like "semiotics,"
"heuristic," "phenomenological," etc. Once I think I even found ALL of them
in ONE title!
Ah well. Was I the only one not to know this was coming? I will say that
OVID has adjusted the price on the collection, but somehow it makes my teeth
ache to write a check that big for just one journal.
