Back in April, I announced the availability of a printed continuing medical education module, Medical Ethics and Professionalism." The module has now been loaded onto the Texas Medical Association Web site at www.texmed.org/education_cme/cme/ec_cmeethics_prof.htm

The course, which costs $10 for TMA members and $15 for non-members (postage and sales tax included), has been approved for one hour of AMA PRA Category 1 CME credit until April 30, 2001and fulfills the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners' new ethics/professional responsibility requirement. TMA is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians.

Print versions of Medical Ethics and Professionalism can still be ordered by contacting TMA Library by phone at (800) 880-1300, ext. 1541, or (512) 370-1541; by fax at (512) 370-1634; or by e-mail at [log in to unmask]
