As I was creating a new list to send to Blackwell's BackMed Listserv
in hopes that another library might supply us with some missing
issues, I was struck with the idea of an MLA database exchange...
It could be a "one-stop shopping" exchange, instead of watching and
posting to multiple lists with the chance of finding a missing issue
or two.
Using password protection, member Librarians/libraries could enter
their duplicates along with an automatic purge date and any notes
about shipping and postage fees, etc. Librarians seeking issues could
then search the database and find those libraries who could fulfill
their requests.
Any one else interested in the idea? I'd like to propose it to MLA if
others are interested.
Thanks,
Denise
