Hywel Dda University Health Board has a high-quality Library and Knowledge Service dedicated to supporting the clinical, educational and research requirements of all employees of the Health Board and other designated users. As part of a new structure, we are looking to recruit a professional Librarian to Lead the Library and Knowledge Service who is experienced, enthusiastic and innovative.
The post holder will lead on the strategic development and its implementation, organisational management and delivery of Library and Knowledge Services.
The post holder will be based in Glangwili General Hospital, Carmarthen and will be the professional Library manager for the Glangwili Library and responsible for the day to day management of the service and staff.
An appropriate qualification in library and information studies at degree or postgraduate level is essential. We are looking for someone with a significant level of experience in library services management and knowledge of health libraries and the importance of evidence-based health care.
In addition, the post holder must have excellent communication and organisational skills, proven experience in managing staff and budget management, and skills in marketing and customer care.
