In worrying this problem to death I discovered that I can log on to Cubby with no strategy in the search box and a button will then display. If I then enter the strategy I had copied from my PubMed search and hit Go, the button will remain and I can save my strategy. I hope it was not simply a coincidence. I sent NLM an email detailing my problems and the supposed solution.
