I have two suggestions:

1) "Generation Z" is currently 4 years old to 24 years old (approximately). Try searching for young adults instead of "Generation Z." Ovid's age limits includes "young adults (19 to 24 years). If you limit to recent articles, that will functionally get you articles on Gen Z students that just aren't calling the young adults "Gen Z."

When I searched Education, Medical/mt [Methods] AND *"Computer-Assisted Instruction"/ and limited the results to "young adult," I got articles like this:

Developing the Evidence Base for M-Learning in Undergraduate Radiology Education: Identifying Learner Preferences for Mobile Apps.
Darras KE; G van Merrienboer JJ; Toom M; Roberson ND; H de Bruin AB; Nicolaou S; Forster BB.
Canadian Association of Radiologists Journal. 70(3):320-326, 2019 Aug.
UI: 31300315
"This study identifies the characteristics which students perceive as most valuable to teaching radiology with mobile apps (m-learning)."

2) Try searching ERIC (Education Resources Information Center) at ERIC.gov. It's the US Department of Education's version of PubMed - a free database of citations and abstracts centered about educational research. The Department of Education's interface is kind of clunky, but If you have any EBSCO products, EBSCO will add ERIC for free, and you can search ERIC on the EBSCO platform.

Good luck!

Subject: [EXTERNAL] Articles assisting with Online tools for Generation Z's learning style(s)

** ATTENTION: This email originated from outside the MedStar network. ** DO NOT CLICK links or attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe.

Dear colleagues,

This is not a request for a particular article but rather for assistance in locating articles that might answer the following question:

How to adapt to generation Z's style of learning and adopt tools such as Badging and micro credentialing. Examples of online platforms would be great. If it could be applied to Medical Education it would be even greater.

When I do various searched via OVID, Pubmed and EBSCO, I do come across info on Generation Z or Gamification but I rarely find articles addressing specific solutions and tools to teach generation Z. As soon as I make my Boolean search a bit more complex, nothing comes up.

Any articles giving insight into tools to explore would be very much appreciated.

Thank you very much,

Regards,
