Dear colleagues:

A few weeks ago I submitted a request to the list for any information regarding CME fee schedules to help my university upgrade our own schedule.  I only received one response from the list, but did receive several requests to summarize what I found.  In addition to the response I received from one kind individual, here is the information I was able to find:


We've had a hard time getting anyone to do the weekly CME lectures. They run about 45 minutes, and must be from a list of approved topics, based on a needs assessment/curriculum. We're now offering our local talent $500 per lecture, and will be getting a few speakers from out of town. We will cover their expenses and each honorarium will be considered on a case-by-case basis. We are a 300 bed hospital.

0-5 CME Hours Requested:  $100 application fee, $15 registration fee for physicians, $1 fee for non-physicians, $0 fee for medical students/residents
5.25-10 CME Hours Requested:  $300 application fee, $15 registration fee for physicians, $1 fee for non-physicians, $0 fee for medical students/residents
10.25 or More CME Hours Requested:  $500 application fee, $15 registration fee for physicians, $1 fee for non-physicians, $0 fee for medical students/residents
