Hi Yaffa,

In addition to these MESH suggestions, you could also use these 2 MESH terms: "truth disclosure" and "duty to warn".

I'm curious why the lawyer needs citations on this... are physicians not already required to notify patients of test results? Like, how is failure to notify NOT obvious malpractice?

Setting those questions aside: I'd start by examining the MeSH in this record: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22051461

And experiment with adding some of the following terms:
( "Sexually Transmitted Diseases/diagnosis"[Mesh] OR "Sexually Transmitted Diseases/epidemiology"[Mesh] OR "Sexually Transmitted Diseases/prevention and control"[Mesh] )

Subject: Need help with search terms on PubMed/Uptodate

Could someone please help me with search terms on the following description from one of my lawyers:

"medical articles on the need for physicians to warn patients of positive STD test results?

... support for the propositions that the best way to stop the spread of STDs is for people to get tested for STDs and for physicians to accurately inform and counsel patients when they have positive test results."

I can't even begin to formulate a search. Inform? Warn? Counsel? STD testing results?

Please help me! Thank you so much!
