         It's Kabbalah (or Cabala), not cabal, and it is a broad term
         for a complex school of mystical/esoteric Jewish philosophy
         that dates back to the Middle Ages.  I suggest that your
         patron contactthese folks for a copy of their book catalogue.
         They have a good selection of inexpensive paperbacks on such
         topics.
